With a collective 20 years worth of experience in recruitment (but who is counting?) and thousands of conversations with.. - job seekers - hiring managers - human resources teams - and business owners

..we have a wealth of experience in solving many of the most painful recruitment pitfalls that business struggle with.

We are here to help with the people part.

As part of defining our identity as a organisation, we dug deep to figure out what the most valuable contribution we can offer to the world, and we listened to what our customers were telling us about their needs.

Through those many conversations, we saw the same repeating themes and common pain points when it comes to people looking for a job, or businesses looking to hire. 1. Most Candidates aren’t getting the experience they deserve 2. Most of the market likens Recruiters to used car salesmen (people can smell inauthenticity a mile away) 3. Growing businesses with unchanged foundations impacts current performance 4. Most business owners don’t have the time to focus on the people part of their business 5. You have to make time to make change in order to be able to make change

So Bloom was founded to focus on solving these common pain points and to help businesses get the people part of their business right.

Austin Moede

Why the Southern Gentleman?

Austin is from the home of fried chicken wings, smoked meats and corn bread with maple butter: South Carolina.

He’s been gracing our Queensland shores with his presence for 6 years now and has been recruiting in the Tech and IT space for most of that time.

Austin has an authentic care factor in everything he does and is well regarded for his service and commitment to providing a great outcome for both his Candidates and his Clients.

He too, has worked with a multitude of organisations spanning large enterprise and SME across Brisbane and Melbourne in the tech arena.

Jessica Hennessy

You’ll be hard pressed to find anyone more passionate about building strong, impactful teams and empowering others to do their best work, than Jess.

Like her Co-Founders, she has several years of experience in the recruitment arena spanning Accounting and Finance, Corporate Services and Executive.

She has worked for large, global organisations and helped to build out brand new businesses and business units in start-up, scale up and boutique agency environments.

Whilst recruitment has given her a solid foundation in understanding what makes the inside of a business work efficiently (and what doesn’t), Jess now spends most of her time parachuting into businesses to assist in building (or rebuilding) their HR and Recruitment functions and helping to develop new people and culture initiatives.

She’s passionate about understanding the unique pain points of the businesses she works with and working closely with her Clients to develop tailored solutions that will promote organisational effectiveness and help their business bloom.

Scott Buddle

With just over 6 years experience recruiting in the Tech and IT scene across Brisbane, Scott has worked with large, global enterprises, start-ups, scale-ups and SME’s.

He has a true passion for tech and analytics (so much so, he moonlights as a student of such) and is affectionately known as ‘the big guy’ in Brisbane’s meetup arena.

If you’re a Developer looking for someone who can get into the nitty gritty of the tech that lights you up, Scott’s your guy.

If you’re looking to hire someone or build a team from the ground up and you want someone who can dig deep below the surface of buzzwords, he’s got you covered for that too. He’s developed a passion for working closely with his Clients, integrating with scale-ups and SME’s.
